Mike Dusold Sets New GRIDLIFE Watkins Glen Benchmark

Mike Dusold and the Dusold Designs team added another milestone to an already impressive record during GRIDLIFE Summer Apex at Watkins Glen International, where Dusold set the new Unlimited-class benchmark with a blistering 1:43.839 lap in his turbocharged 1967 Chevrolet Camaro. The Camaro also reached 192 mph through Watkins Glen's backstretch speed trap on its record-setting run.

The latest achievement is another highlight in a long list of accomplishments for Dusold and his team. Mike is a two-time Optima Ultimate Street Car Invitational champion and a repeat competitor at the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb. In GRIDLIFE competition, he previously won the Unlimited class at Road America in 2024 while setting a new overall GRIDLIFE track record with a 2:04.583 lap, eclipsing the previous mark and surpassing 200 mph on the circuit's long straightaways.

Dusold's record-setting Camaro is one of the most recognizable time attack machines in North America. The twin-turbocharged 1967 Chevrolet Camaro combines extensive aerodynamic development, a custom Dusold-engineered suspension, and massive power to deliver record-setting performance at tracks across the country. The car rides on Forgeline wheels, including CF1 Open Lug forged monoblock front wheels and GF3 Open Lug forged three-piece rear wheels.

Congratulations to Mike Dusold and the entire Dusold Designs team on another incredible accomplishment. And thank you for the continued trust you've placed in Forgeline. We're proud to be a small part of your success and look forward to seeing what records fall next.
