Popp and Unser Repeat as 2026 LS Fest East Grand Champions on Forgeline Wheels

Danny Popp and Robby Unser Jr. backed up their 2025 LS Fest East Grand Champion titles with another pair of championship performances at the 2026 Holley LS Fest East at Beech Bend Raceway in Bowling Green, Kentucky.
Defending champion Danny Popp once again won the Grand Champion Late Model title with his 2025 Chevrolet Corvette E-Ray on Forgeline one-piece forged monoblock VV1R wheels, while Robby Unser Jr. repeated as Grand Champion Vintage winner with his 1967 Shelby Cobra Replica on Forgeline forged three-piece HL3X wheels.
To win their respective Grand Champion titles, Danny and Robby put both their cars and driving skills through a grueling test consisting of three different driving challenges: the Drag Race, the Autocross, and the 3S Challenge (Stop, Speed, & Steering). At the end of the three-day weekend, both drivers had accumulated enough combined points to once again rise to the top of their classes and take home Grand Champion honors.
Back-to-back championships are no small feat at LS Fest East, where consistency across multiple disciplines is just as important as outright speed. Danny's latest title adds to an already impressive list of LS Fest Grand Champion victories, including 2013, 2015, 2017, 2025, and now 2026. Robby continues to build his LS Fest résumé after earning Grand Champion Vintage titles at LS Fest West in 2025 and 2026, and capturing the LS Fest East Vintage title in both 2025 and 2026. Four LS Fest Grand Champion titles in two seasons is a remarkable accomplishment and a testament to the consistency required to succeed in one of the most demanding multi-discipline competitions in motorsports.
Congratulations to Danny and Robby on another outstanding achievement, and thank you for the trust you've placed in Forgeline!
