Ford Mustang GT4s Take Double Podium at Watkins Glen on Forgeline GS1R Wheels

Ford Mustang GT4 teams delivered a strong result at Watkins Glen International, securing second- and third-place finishes in the GS class at the IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge LP Building Solutions 120. McCumbee McAleer Racing and Kohr Motorsports led the charge, both competing on Forgeline one-piece forged monoblock GS1R wheels.
The No. 13 McCumbee McAleer Racing Mustang GT4, driven by Nate Cicero and Robert Noaker, finished in second place, just 0.413 seconds behind the race-winning Mercedes-AMG after two hours of competition. Close behind, the No. 60 Kohr Motorsports Mustang GT4 of Evan Slater and Mike Skeen completed the podium in third, less than a second off the lead.
The GS class battle at Watkins Glen came down to strategy, consistency, and late-race circumstances. After more than 100 minutes of green-flag running, a late caution reset the field and set up a sprint to the finish, where both Mustang entries capitalized. The No. 13 McCumbee McAleer Racing Mustang maintained position near the front and maximized the restart to secure second place, while the No. 60 Kohr Motorsports Mustang moved into third following the late-race shuffle. At the checkered flag, all three podium finishers completed 59 laps, separated by less than a second in one of the closest finishes of the season.
The result at Watkins Glen underscores the continued competitiveness of the Ford Mustang GT4 platform in IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge competition. With multiple entries in the GS field, Mustang teams once again demonstrated the pace and durability required to contend at the front of the grid.
