Mike Dusold Wins 2026 GRIDLIFE Unlimited Championship on Forgeline Wheels

Following a dominant year in GRIDLIFE TrackBattle competition, Mike Dusold secured the 2026 GRIDLIFE Unlimited class championship behind the wheel of his twin-turbocharged 1967 Chevrolet Camaro on Forgeline wheels. Few drivers in North American time attack have assembled a résumé as impressive as Mike Dusold, and the 2026 season added another major accomplishment to the list.

The championship is the latest milestone for Dusold and the Dusold Designs team, who have spent years developing one of the most recognizable and successful time attack cars in the country. Throughout the season, the Camaro continued to demonstrate the combination of engineering, reliability, and outright speed that has made it a benchmark in the Unlimited category.

One of the highlights of Dusold's championship campaign came earlier this season at Watkins Glen International during GRIDLIFE Summer Apex. There, he reset the Unlimited-class benchmark with an incredible 1:43.839 lap and reached 192 mph through the track's backstretch speed trap. The record added yet another chapter to the Camaro's growing legacy and set the tone for the remainder of the season.

The final round of the 2026 GRIDLIFE season took place at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca, where the Unlimited field featured an impressive lineup of machinery. Dusold's Camaro faced competition from Lief Storer's 900-horsepower Nissan GT-R, a BBi Autosport-prepared Porsche 993 driven by Tanner Foust, Betim Berisha's Porsche 911 GT3 Cup, and Tony Szirka's Mitsubishi Evo.

Dusold immediately established himself as the driver to beat, setting an early benchmark lap of 1:24.460. Although a high-speed tire failure created a midweekend setback, the team rebounded in championship fashion. Dusold returned to claim the Unlimited Podium Sprint victory by two seconds over Storer, capping off the weekend and officially locking up the 2026 GRIDLIFE Unlimited championship.

The Camaro's success is no accident. Built around extensive aerodynamic development, a custom Dusold-engineered suspension system, and massive twin-turbo power, the car has consistently delivered record-setting performances at some of the country's most demanding circuits. The combination has made it one of the most feared and respected cars in the GRIDLIFE paddock.

Riding beneath that championship-winning machine are Forgeline wheels, including CF1 Open Lug forged monoblock front wheels and GF3 Open Lug forged three-piece rear wheels. Those wheels have been part of the Camaro's record-setting performances and championship runs as the team continues to push the limits of track performance.

Congratulations to Mike Dusold and the entire Dusold Designs team on an outstanding season and a well-earned 2026 GRIDLIFE Unlimited championship. We're proud to be a small part of your success and look forward to seeing what records, victories, and championships come next.
