Chevrolet Wins Second Consecutive IMSA GTD PRO Manufacturer Championship with Corvette GT3.R on Forgeline Wheels

At the 29th running of Petit Le Mans at Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta, Chevrolet successfully defended its IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship GTD PRO Manufacturer title in 2026, securing a second consecutive championship with the Corvette GT3.R on Forgeline wheels.
The championship continues a remarkable run of success for Corvette Racing and Chevrolet, adding another major accomplishment to the Corvette GT3.R program in one of the world's most competitive GT racing categories.
The championship was officially clinched following Petit Le Mans, where the No. 74 DragonSpeed Chevrolet Corvette Z06 GT3.R of Giacomo Altoé, Casper Stevenson, and Sebastien Bourdais finished sixth in class, giving Chevrolet enough points to successfully defend its GTD PRO manufacturer crown.
The achievement continues a remarkable run of success for Corvette Racing and Chevrolet in IMSA competition. The 2026 title marks Chevrolet's 16th GT-class manufacturer championship since Corvette Racing began competition in 1999 and its sixth GTD PRO/GT Le Mans manufacturer championship since 2014, more than any other automotive manufacturer during that span.
Heading into the season finale, the Corvette GT3.R program had positioned itself at the front of the championship battle through a season built on consistency, reliability, and competitive pace. The combined efforts of Corvette Racing, Pratt Miller Motorsports, DragonSpeed, and the entire Corvette GT3.R program helped Chevrolet secure another manufacturer championship in one of the most competitive GT categories in motorsports.
Developed specifically for global GT3 competition, the Corvette GT3.R carries forward Corvette Racing's long tradition of endurance racing success. Powered by a naturally aspirated 5.5-liter V8 derived from the production Corvette Z06 platform, the GT3.R has proven itself against some of the world's top GT manufacturers and racing teams.
Helping put that performance to the pavement are Forgeline one-piece forged monoblock SS1R-GT racing wheels. Designed specifically for professional motorsports competition, the SS1R-GT combines race-proven durability, exceptional stiffness, and lightweight construction to meet the demanding requirements of endurance racing, where performance and reliability must be maintained hour after hour.
The 2026 championship also marked Chevrolet's fourth IMSA manufacturer championship with the eighth-generation mid-engine Corvette platform, further validating the capabilities of the Corvette GT3.R program at the highest levels of GT racing.
Congratulations to Chevrolet, Corvette Racing, Pratt Miller Motorsports, DragonSpeed, and everyone involved in the Corvette GT3.R program on another outstanding championship season. We're proud that Forgeline wheels continue to play a role in one of the most successful GT racing programs in North America and look forward to seeing the Corvette GT3.R begin its championship defense in 2027.
