Another month, another record! The team at Hennessey Performance set a new Production Car track record on March 11 at Circuit of the Americas, in their incredible Venom F5 Revolution hypercar on Forgeline one piece forged monoblock GT1 5-Lug wheels.
The record-breaking lap was driven by Hennessey's in-house test driver, David Donohue, who piloted the Venom F5 Revolution to a blistering telemetry-verified 2:10.90 lap of the 3.41-mile-long racetrack. Donohue's lap beat the previous record by 0.43 seconds, reached speeds of 193.10 mph along COTA's 1016 meter back straightaway, and generated eye-watering +1.59 G loads in the corners and -1.61 G loads under braking.
Hennessey's Venom F5 Revolution is powered by a 1,817 bhp twin-turbocharged 6.6-liter V8 packaged within a lightweight carbon-fiber structure with a total curb weight of just 2998 lbs. It rides on AP Racing brakes with carbon-ceramic discs, street-legal Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 R tires, and exceptionally-strong 19x9.5/20x12 Forgeline one piece forged monoblock GT1 5-Lug wheels that are capable of handling these extreme kinetic loads.
Congrats to the team at Hennessey, and thanks for trusting Forgeline to carry the load!
