Miedecke Motorsport Sweeps Monochrome GT4 Australia at Phillip Island Grand Prix

After just taking delivery of their brand new Ford S650 Mustang GT4 racecar in April, the Miedecke Motorsport team not only snagged the Ford Mustang GT4’s first win in Australia in their very first race, but they swept the weekend, taking the checkered flag in both races of the Monochrome GT4 Australia at Phillip Island Grand Prix!

It was an auspicious start of the 2024 Monochrome GT4 Australia season for the Miedecke team, including co-drivers Rylan Gray and George Miedecke. But it was also an impressive showing for Ford, Ford Performance, and Multimatic Motorsports, as the Phillip Island race was also a celebration of the Ford Mustang's 60th birthday.

Ford’s new factory-direct S650 Mustang GT4 is built in partnership with Multimatic Motorsports. It was first introduced in June 2023, but is making its racing debut throughout the world with the 2024 racing season. It’s powered by a Coyote-based V8 engine developed by Ford Performance mated to a paddle-shifted Holinger dog-ring gearbox and rides on an upgraded competition-approved suspension package, Multimatic DSSV dampers, Brembo brakes, and 18×11 Forgeline one piece forged monoblock GS1R wheels.

Congrats to Rylan, George, the entire Miedecke Motorsport team, Ford, Ford Performance, and Multimatic Motorsport for this impressive Australian debut. And thanks for trusting Forgeline to carry the load!

The Monochrome GT4 Australia series returns to action on May 31-June 2 at The Bend Motorsport Park.
