Forgeline Teams Head to Sebring for a Big IMSA Weekend

This weekend marks one of the most demanding events on the IMSA calendar, as competitors take on the legendary Sebring International Raceway. Known for its unforgiving concrete surface, high speeds, and constant stress on both machinery and drivers, Sebring has long been a proving ground for race‑ready components and endurance‑focused engineering.

This year’s Sebring weekend also represents a milestone for Forgeline, with a record number of teams competing on Forgeline wheels across both headline events: Friday’s Michelin Pilot Challenge Alan Jay Automotive Network 120 and Saturday’s Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship.

In Friday’s two‑hour Michelin Pilot Challenge race, numerous Ford Mustang GT4 entries will compete in the GS class on Forgeline GS1R one‑piece forged monoblock wheels, a proven design developed specifically for the demands of professional GT4 competition. Forgeline‑equipped Mustang GT4 teams at Sebring include KOHR Motorsports with cars #60 and #59, LAP Motorsports with car #30, McCumbee McAleer Racing with car #13, Medusa Motorsports with car #4, Stephen Cameron Racing with car #19, and Team TGM fielding cars #46 and #64.

With Sebring’s combination of heavy braking zones, sustained high loads, and relentless bumps, wheel strength, stiffness, and durability play a critical role in maintaining consistent performance throughout the race. The GS1R’s fully forged monoblock construction is engineered to meet those demands while minimizing weight and maximizing reliability.

Forgeline will also be well-represented in Saturday’s Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring, as multiple Chevrolet Corvette Z06 GT3.R teams take on the challenge on Forgeline SS1R‑GT one‑piece forged monoblock wheels. These entries include the factory Corvette program from Pratt Miller Motorsports with cars #3 and #4 competing in the GTD Pro class, along with 13 Autosport (#13), DragonSpeed (#81), and DXDT Racing (#36) contesting the GTD class.

The SS1R‑GT was developed to withstand the extreme conditions of long‑distance competition, including high curb loads, prolonged heat cycles, and the continuous punishment imposed by circuits like Sebring. These demands make the Twelve Hours a true test of durability and performance for every component on the car.

We wish all of our teams the best of luck this weekend and thank them for placing their trust in Forgeline wheels. Competing at Sebring demands absolute confidence in every component, and we are proud to support so many programs across multiple classes at one of endurance racing’s most challenging events.

Friday’s Michelin Pilot Challenge Alan Jay Automotive Network 120 will take place in the afternoon at Sebring International Raceway, with live video coverage available via the IMSA Official YouTube channel, along with timing and scoring through IMSA.com. On Saturday, the Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring will be broadcast flag‑to‑flag in the U.S. on Peacock, with international live streaming available through IMSA.tv and the IMSA YouTube channel. Audio‑only coverage of both events will be provided throughout the weekend by IMSA Radio, accessible via IMSA.com and SiriusXM.
