Ford Mustang GT4 Enjoys Global Racing Success

Ford's impressive Forgeline-equipped Mustang GT4 platform once again demonstrated its racetrack capability, with a series of late-summer victories on opposite ends of the globe.

The winning streak started with the GT4 Australia series, at Melbourne, Australia's Sandown International Raceway, where the double-race weekend saw three different Mustang GT4s at the top of the podium. Saturday's race belonged to Miedecke Motorsports and their No.35 Ford Mustang GT4 driven by Rylan Gray and George Miedecke, who overcame a 15-second "success penalty" to charge to the front and earn the win in the GT4 Australia Silver PRO Class. On Sunday, the Miedecke team enjoyed yet another podium finish, thanks to a solid third place result, while the Sunday victory belonged to Jake Camilleri and the No.36 Gomersall Motorsports Mustang GT4. Meanwhile, Sunday also saw a Mustang victory in the Silver AM class, where Dean Campbell and Cameron Crick led the way in their No.118 DA Campbell Transport Ford Mustang GT4.

One week later, all of this Mustang domination continued on the opposite side of the world, where the No.13 McCumbee McAleer Racing Ford Mustang GT4 took on Road America for the IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge Road America 120. For the third consecutive IMSA weekend, the duo of Jenson Altzman and Nate Cicero earned the pole position for the start of the GS class contest. Despite a race full of cautions, Jenson and Nate executed a perfect race, along with some very smart pit strategy, to put themselves up front for the final 50 minutes of green flag racing. And in a close finish, they took the checker just 0.467 seconds ahead of the second-place BMW from Team CarBahn.

Ford’s factory-direct S650 Mustang GT4 is built in partnership with Multimatic Motorsports. It was first introduced in June 2023 and is enjoying success throughout the world with the 2025 racing season. It’s powered by a Coyote-based V8 engine, developed by Ford Performance, mated to a paddle-shifted Holinger dog-ring gearbox and rides on an upgraded competition-approved suspension package, Multimatic DSSV dampers, Brembo brakes, and 18×11 Forgeline one piece forged monoblock GS1R wheels.

Congrats to everyone at Ford, Multimatic Motorsports, Miedecke Motorsports, Gomersall Motorsports, DA Campbell Transport, and McCumbee McAleer Racing, and thank you for the trust that you've placed in Forgeline!
