The entire Forgeline team is extremely saddened by the passing of Don Panoz, who lost his short battle with pancreatic cancer on Tuesday, September 11, 2018, at the age of 83.
Don was an innovator and pioneer in the medical and automotive industries. After inventing the time-release medicinal patch, he went on to co-found Panoz Cars (manufacturer of iconic sports and racing cars) and Green4U Technologies (manufacturer of electric vehicles). He had a huge impact on modern motorsports, having created the American Le Mans Series, serving as honorary vice-chairman of IMSA, and owning several track facilities, including Mosport International Raceway, Road Atlanta, and Sebring International Raceway. His Panoz racing team won the 2018 Pirelli World Challenge GTS manufacturers championship with the Panoz Avezzano GT4.
