The 2025 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship comes down to one final, epic battle at Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta this Saturday, October 11, with the Motul Petit Le Mans, a grueling 10-hour endurance race that will decide the GTD Pro championship. And the stakes couldn’t be higher.
Heading into the finale, the No.3 Corvette Z06 GT3.R from Pratt Miller Motorsports, driven by Antonio Garcia and Alexander Sims, holds a razor-thin 18-point lead over the No.81 DragonSpeed Ferrari 296 GT3 piloted by Albert Costa. With 385 points available and a 30-point gap between first and second place, this is as close as it gets—a true winner-take-all scenario. Whoever finishes ahead on track will likely walk away with the GTD Pro Drivers’ and Teams’ Championships.
Petit Le Mans is no ordinary race. The 2.54-mile, 12-turn circuit in Braselton, Georgia, is a fan favorite and a driver’s challenge, combining high-speed straights with technical corners and heavy traffic from a massive 53-car field across four classes. Add in the unpredictability of a 10-hour endurance format, and anything can happen.
You can watch all of the action on Saturday, October 11 starting at 12:10 PM ET with live broadcast coverage on NBC from Noon to 3:00 PM and flag-to-flag live streaming on Peacock.
Based upon the Chevrolet C8 Corvette Z06 and sharing the road car’s aluminum chassis, the Corvette GT3.R is powered by a version of the Z06’s 5.5L DOHC LT6 V8 engine mated to a 6-speed sequential transmission. It rides on a motorsports-specific double-wishbone suspension system and a 6-piston front / 4-piston rear AP Racing braking system with unique cooling and quick-change capabilities.
Pratt Miller worked with the team at Forgeline Motorsports for several years to develop an application-specific version of our center-locking one-piece forged monoblock SS1R-GT wheel, engineered to deliver optimized performance metrics (mass, deflection, strength, and durability) specifically for the new Corvette GT3.R. Every Chevrolet C8 Corvette Z06 GT3.R competes on 18×12.5 / 18×13 Forgeline one-piece forged monoblock SS1R-GT wheels finished in Gloss Black.
Good luck to Antonio, Alexander, the entire Pratt Miller Motorsports team, and Team Chevy—and thank you for the trust you place in Forgeline!
