The 2021 Goodguys autocross season came to a dramatic finale, at the 24th Speedway Motors Goodguys Southwest Nationals presented by Barrett-Jackson, during the November 19-21 weekend, in Scottsdale, Arizona.

The famed Duel in the Desert shootout brought some of the best autocrossers from across the country for a head-to-head elimination style shootout among 32 cars. In the end, it came down to an exciting finish between two brothers, Josh and Jared Leisinger, both driving Summit Racing-sponsored C2 Corvettes on Forgeline one piece forged monoblock GS1R wheels.

When the dust cleared, it was Jared Leisinger who won the Duel in the Desert shootout by just .007 seconds (not accounting for cone penalties), but Josh's consistent performance throughout the 2021 season earned him the 2021 Autocrosser of the Year title! In addition to the Leisinger brothers, Ron Scott Jr. also earned the 2021 PRO class points championship, in his 1963 Corvette on Forgeline forged three piece VX3C wheels.
