Ford GT Mk IV at COTA
These record-breaking performances began on February 29, during a test with Multimatic Motorsports at Circuit of the Americas, where driver Ben Sloss set a new unofficial COTA 2-seater GT lap record with a blisteringly-fast 1:58.77 in the new Ford GT Mk IV. Only 67 units of the new Ford GT Mk IV will be produced by Multimatic Motorsports to commemorate the 1967 victory of Dan Gurney and AJ Foyt, in the original Ford GT40, at the 24 Hours of Le Mans. But the $1.7 million Mk IV is a serious modern performance machine that not only makes 800+ horsepower from its twin-turbocharged 3.5L V6 Ecoboost engine but also produces massive cornering loads with real Michelin slicks and 2400 lbs of downforce at 150mph. It can put these loads to the ground thanks to 18x12.5/18x13.0 Forgeline one piece forged monoblock "Gurney" wheels that are designed exclusively for the Ford GT Mk IV.
Lyfe Motorsports Nissan GT-R at COTA
Cole Powelson and the Lyfe Motorsport team set one lap record and then promptly beat it with another lap record at Circuit of the Americas, during the World Time Attack Super Lap Battle USA. They ultimately set a new Unlimited Class lap record at of 2:02.538 with their Nissan R35 GT-R equipped with substantial aerodynamic enhancements and Forgeline forged three piece GA3R wheels.
Hennessey Venom F5 Revolution at COTA
The team at Hennessey Performance set a new Production Car track record on March 11 at Circuit of the Americas, in their incredible Venom F5 Revolution hypercar on Forgeline one piece forged monoblock GT1 5-Lug wheels. The record-breaking lap was driven by Hennessey's in-house test driver, David Donohue, who piloted the Venom F5 Revolution to a blistering telemetry-verified 2:10.90 lap of the 3.41-mile-long racetrack. Donohue's lap beat the previous record by 0.43 seconds, reached speeds of 193.10 mph along COTA's 1016 meter back straightaway, and generated eye-watering +1.59 G loads in the corners and -1.61 G loads under braking.
SP Motorsports Porsche 991 GT3RS at Sonoma
Jaden Conwright and the team at SP Motorsports set a groundbreaking production car lap record of 1:36.87 at Sonoma Raceway in April. Jaden's SPM-Spec Porsche 992 GT3RS was prepared by SP Motorsports with a list of effective upgrades, including a BBI Autosport roll cage, Porsche P1300 seats, Schroth safety harnesses, Alcon brake calipers, ProSystem brake rotors, Hoosier R7 tires, SPM custom alignment, and 19x10.5/19x13 Forgeline one piece forged monoblock GS1R-CL wheels finished in White Gold.
