It was another wild weekend of racing for Forgeline-equipped teams, in the IMSA Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge race, at Circuit of the Americas! Between the ST and GS classes, teams who wrap their Continental race rubber around Forgeline one piece forged monoblock GS1R wheels graced all three steps of the podium, scoring both first & third places, in ST, and earning both second & third places, in GS!We extend a big congratulations to Eric Foss and Jeff Mosing of Murillo Racing, for scoring another ST class victory, in their Forgeline GS1R-equipped #56 Porsche Cayman. After a somewhat disappointing 14th place starting position, it was one heck of a ride to move up to first and claim the win! Not far behind them was another GS1R-equipped Porsche, the #19 Cayman from RS1, who brought home third place, in the hands of Connor Bloum and Greg Strelzoff. In the GS class race, it looked like the #33 CJ Wilson Cayman was likely to take the second place spot and maybe even challenge for the win. But alas, the curbing proved too much for the rear suspension, forcing them to fall off pace and settle for 7th. However, in this ultra-competitive CTSC series, the #12 Porsche Cayman from Bodymotion Racing was close behind and ready to claim the second place position. Since equipping their Porsche Cayman GT4 Clubsport with Forgeline GS1R wheels, 2016 has been an incredible season, for Bodymotionâs Trent Hindman and Cameron Cassels, and they are now poised to claim the GS class championship. And finally taking third place was the #76 Ford Shelby GT350R-C from C360R, driven by Pierre Kleinubing and Paul Holton. The final showdown of the 2016 IMSA Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge Series takes place at Road Atlanta, on Friday, September 30.
