The 2024 Goodguys autocross season came to a dramatic finale, at the 27th Speedway Motors Goodguys Southwest Nationals, during the November 15-17 weekend, in Scottsdale, Arizona. The famed Duel in the Desert shootout brought some of the best autocrossers from across the country for a head-to-head elimination style shootout. And by the completion of the weekend, Forgeline customers had dominated the competition, winning three of the five class shootouts plus the coveted King of the Desert title.

The class shootouts started with the Pro-X class, where for the fourth year in a row, a Leisinger came out on top, thanks to Josh Leisinger's win in his Summit Racing-sponsored 1964 Chevrolet Corvette on Forgeline one piece forged monoblock GS1R wheels.

In the Pro class, Bob Bertelsen took top honors with his 1968 Chevrolet Corvette on Forgeline forged three piece CV3C wheels.

And in the Street Machine class, Andrew Chenowith took the title with his 1984 Chevrolet Corvette on Forgeline one piece forged monoblock GS1R wheels.

Once the class battles were settled, then the top 8 fastest drivers faced off again for the King of the Desert shootout. In the final round, Josh Leisinger backed up his Pro-X class win and earned the 2024 King of the Desert title. 2024 is Josh's second King of the Desert title, having also won in 2022, and is the fourth year in a row where the title has been earned by a Leisinger brother.

Several Forgeline-equipped drivers also capped off 2024 season points championships, including Street Machine Class points champion Andrew Chenowith in his 1984 Chevrolet Corvette on Forgeline one piece forged monoblock GS1R wheels, Sports Car Class points champion Valerie Gilliam Pichette in her 1988 Pontiac Firebird on Forgeline forged three piece GW3R wheels, and Pro Class points champion Bob Bertelsen in his 1968 Chevrolet Corvette on Forgeline forged three piece CV3C wheels.
