 Seal Plate Upgrade Kit (with fasteners)

Every 3-piece wheel requires an airtight seal between the rim shell and the outer lip. Most racing wheels create this seal with wet silicone sealant from a tube. With a quality sealant, this works great, but slow drying times (up to 24 hours before the wheel is once again ready for use) create yet another obstacle for race teams at the track. So Forgeline Motorsports is proud to offer our Aluminum Seal Plate as an option on all of our 18-inch Competition Series racing wheels.
Our Aluminum Seal Plate is an aluminum plate with a rubber gasket seal around the edge that creates an airtight seal without the need for any liquid sealant. This allows for fast and reliable repairs with no leaks, no mess, and no drying time delays! Available for all 18-inch Competition Series applications.
Upgrading a wheel that was originally assembled with the liquid sealant requires longer fasteners to account for the thickness of the aluminum seal plate. This complete Seal Plate Upgrade Kit includes the aluminum seal plate, the installed rubber gasket, and a complete set of longer fasteners. Replacement gaskets are also available separately.
Note: This is the upgrade kit that includes longer fasteners that are required to upgrade from the liquid sealant. A Seal Plate Replacement Kit (without fasteners) is also available. |
